Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 9-inch round cake pan with nonstick cooking spray.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar until combined. Add the eggs, almond extract and salt and whisk until smooth.

Add the flour and whisk until combined. Stir in the almonds and brown sugar.

Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
